Some LVPs come with attached underlayment. If yours doesn't, or if you're installing over concrete or uneven surfaces, a quality underlayment can help with soundproofing and comfort.
Subfloor prep is crucial. You want it clean, level, and dry. I have detailed videos on checking moisture levels, filling dips, and priming subfloors if needed.
At minimum: a utility knife, spacers, tapping block, pull bar, tape measure, and straightedge. I also love my roller carts—game changers for installers.

Yes, if it's level and secure. Floating LVP works over tile, vinyl, and even hardwood as long as there are no major dips or damage.

Yes. Most LVP is waterproof, making it perfect for wet areas. Just make sure all expansion gaps are sealed properly.
Just sweep and use a damp mop with a pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or steam mops.
LVP needs room to expand and contract with temperature changes. Skipping this step can lead to buckling or shifting floors.
A single room can be done in a day. Whole houses may take a few days depending on layout and your pace.

Yes. Similar to other flooring types, it is best to limit direct sunlight on the floor by using curtains and blinds in areas that are exposed to high UV rays.
No. CALI vinyl is strengthened from within by a rigid SPC or WPC core, made to endure indentation and warping. The SPC core is made of limestone composite which is 100% waterproof and extra strong. Previous generations of vinyl flooring were made to be extremely thin and malleable, like a wallpaper for your floor. CALI vinyl is completely remastered to perform as impressively as it looks.
